Hi! My name is Olivia Rupkalvis and I am a junior at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I am advertising in advertising major and environmental sciences and studies minor. I hope to combine my love for advertising and my passion for the environment in my future endeavors.
I am from Southport, North Carolina, but have had the opportunity to live in a multitude of amazing places. My dad is in the military and I was born in Wiesbaden, Germany. After living in the U.S. throughout my childhood, I moved to Italy during middle school. Moving overseas ignited my love for traveling and experiencing new cultures.
At UNC-Chapel Hill, I am also a member of Pi Beta Phi Fraternity for Women. I am very involved in Pi Phi's philanthropy and served as our Philanthropy Fundraising/Scholarship Assistant this past year. I am also a member of the Jon Curtis Student Enrichment Fund, which provides grants to UNC students to pursue projects outside the university.
In the future, I hope to pursue a career in advertising. I am a very creative individual and love coming up with new, innovative ideas. I cannot wait to explore everything the field of advertising has in store for me!

fill your bucket list
foundation
Fill Your Bucket List Foundation was founded in 2014 by Peggy Gibson Carroll. When Peggy's father was diagnosed with lung cancer, she encouraged him to write down his "bucket list" of what he always wanted to experience. With this, Fill Your Bucket List Foundation was established.
This organization seeks to grant the wishes and dreams of adults battling cancer in North Carolina. Individuals age 18 and older are nominated by loved ones to the foundation, where the organization and volunteers make their dream come true. Funded by donations and sponsors, Fill Your Bucket List Foundation covers all logistic and financial costs of the wish, so the wish recipient can focus on relaxing and having fun this those they love.
Each year, Fill Your Bucket List Foundation holds their Bucket Bash, which is the largest fundraiser of the year. Money raised at this event is used to directly grant the wishes of cancer patients. By the end of 2018, the foundation will have granted 100 wishes, forever impacting the lives of patients and their families.
